The Horizon Air Pilot Development Program was designed to help student pilots achieve these goals, by offering a $12,500 stipend and mentorship from a professional pilot. All commercial aviators must meet the requirements of the Airline Transportation Pilot (ATP) certificate, which includes a minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time (more with some airlines).
